The iShares Global Timber & Forestry ETF (NASDAQ: WOOD) was established on June 24, 2008 to track the investment results of the S&P Global Timber & Forestry IndexTM (S&P Global Timber & Forestry IndexTM). Global Forest ETF (WOOD) usually invests at least 90% of its assets in constituent stocks of the underlying index and investments with substantially the same economic characteristics as the constituent stocks, and may invest 10% of its assets in certain futures, Options, as well as swap contracts, cash and cash equivalents.
The index consists of approximately 25 largest listed companies engaged in forest and woodland ownership, management or upstream supply chains. The fund is non-diversified.
