  • In 1949, Ratner Group was founded as the predecessor of Signet Jewelers Limited;
  • During the 1980s and 1990s, the company expanded rapidly through a series of acquisitions;
  • In September 1993, Ratner Group changed its name to Signet Group plc;
  • On September 11, 2008, Signet Group was transferred from the London Stock Exchange to the New York Stock Exchange, and at the same time it was renamed Signet Jewelers Limited, and the company headquarters was signed from London to Bermuda;
  • In February 2014, Signet Jewelers Ltd. agreed to acquire Zale Corporation for 1.4 billion US dollars.
