Through ONEOK Partners, LP ‘s rights and interests are engaged in the extraction, processing, storage and transportation of natural gas in the United States.



ONEOK Inc. (pronounced “One-Oak”) is a diversified Fortune 500 company located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. ONEOK was founded in 1906 as Oklahoma Natural Gas Company (Oklahoma Natural Gas Company), but the company name was changed to ONEOK in December 1980. Since it acquired Koch Industries’ natural gas business in 2005, the company also owns a major natural gas liquid (NGL) system.

ONEOK, Inc. is the largest energy company in Oklahoma and Kansas. Through its partner ONEOK Partners, LP, it is engaged in the exploitation, transmission and storage of natural gas and liquid natural gas, lease of gas pipelines, etc., as well as drilling and production of oil in the United States . It has LNG collection and distribution pipelines, LNG distribution and refined petroleum products pipelines, as well as docks and storage facilities.

In addition, ONEOK Inc also owns and operates interstate and intrastate natural gas transmission pipelines and natural gas storage facilities, as well as storing and transporting NGL products to petrochemical manufacturers, end users, ethanol producers, refineries and propane distributors. ONEOK also operates a parking lot in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma, and leases surplus offices to others.

ONEOK History:

  • On October 9, 1906, Oklahoma Natural Gas Company (ONG), the predecessor of ONEOK, was founded by Dennis T. Flynn and Charles B. Ames;
  • By 1921, ONG had 1,300 miles (2,100 kilometers) of gas pipelines, and had more than 500,000 customers in 77 counties in 48 states;
  • In December 1980, the Oklahoma Natural Gas Company board of directors voted to change the company name to ONEOK, Inc.;
  • In August 1982, ONEOK acquired Cities Service Company and renamed the latter Citgo;
  • In February 2014, ONEOK spun off its natural gas distribution companies (Oklahoma Natural Gas, Kansas Natural Gas Service, and Texas Natural Gas Service) to become an independent public company- ONE GAS , and Oklahoma Natural Gas became a subsidiary of ONE GAS One department to operate.
