Flaherty & Crumrine Preferred Income Opportunity Fund (PFO):

The Flaherty & Crumrine Priority and Income Opportunity Fund (“PFO”) is a closed, diversified investment company that invests at least 80% of its assets under management in a portfolio of priority and other yield-generating securities. It began its investment business in February 1992 through an initial public offering of common shares. The fund also uses financial leverage as a strategy to achieve its investment objectives. As of April 3, 2020, there are 12,659,970 common shares outstanding.

PFO concentrates its investment in the financial services sector. Positions sometimes vary, but usually financial services companies will each account for at least 25% of the fund’s portfolio. The investment objective of the fund is to bring high liquidity to its common stock holders while maintaining capital.

The Flaherty Kronland Wealth Growth Fund invests mainly in preferred stocks. It is based on Standard & Poor’s 500 Index ( S & P 500 Index) and Barclays to measure the performance of its investment portfolio Capital US Aggregate Index (Barclays Capital US Aggregate Index).
