Hugo Boss

Hugo Boss (BOSSY):

Hugo Boss was founded in 1923. After the First World War, it was born in Metzingen (Metzingen), south of Stuttgart, Germany. This place was originally the site of the famous brand BOSS factory and later developed into a German brand factory area.

Hugo Boss mainly produced men’s clothing at the beginning of its establishment. A few years later, it was close to bankruptcy due to the German economic depression. From the 1930s to the early 1940s, Hugo Boss transferred to the Nazi party to produce German commandos (Storm Troopers), SS uniforms, and equipment for the Hitler Youth League.

In 1985, Hugo Boss became a listed company in Germany and was later acquired by the Italian fashion group Marzotto in 1991. As a result, the Boss family has no relationship with the Hugo Boss brand.

Hugo Boss’ brands include: BOSS (business), BOSS Orange (leisure), BOSS Green (sports), and HUGO. As of December 31, 2016, a total of about 7,700 sales outlets (including online stores, independent stores and Shop in shop).
