On July 15, 2019, Command Center, Inc. completed the acquisition of Hire Quest Holdings LLC, and subsequently announced on September 9 that it was renamed HireQuest, Inc. and continued to trade on the Nasdaq under the stock code HQI.

In September 2019, Command Center announced that it would sell 4 Golden State in California to Resolute Enterprises LLC for US$1.8 million to exit the California market. The transaction was completed on September 27.

As of December 31, 2019, HireQuest has 147 franchisee-owned branches in 32 states and the District of Columbia.
