Dow (Dow Chemical) Dow Inc. (NYSE: DOW) was founded in 2018, to April 1, 2019 from Dow DuPont peel (DowDuPont) out of a separate listing, and is included in the Dow Jones Industrial Average (Dow Jones Industrial Average), headquartered in Midland, Michigan, USA, with 36,500 full-time employees, providing various materials for consumer health, infrastructure and packaging markets in the US, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India, Asia Pacific and Latin America Scientific solutions. The company’s main subsidiaries include The Dow Chemical Company.

On August 31, 2017, Dow Chemical (DOW) and DuPont (DuPont) jointly established Dow DuPont , the world’s second largest chemical company. After the merger, the entity is a holding company and it is divided into three independent companies. They are engaged in agriculture, specialty products and chemical materials sectors. Its business scope includes high-tech materials, basic materials, health and agricultural technology, electronic materials, etc., and its application scope spans food and nutrition, health care, textiles, construction and electronics.

The merged Dow DuPont did not stop there. Instead, in April and June 2019, it spun off the agricultural business (including seed pesticides, etc.) and became the independent listed Dow Agronomy (Corteva), and Materials Science business became Dow (Dow Inc.).

Dow is divided into three divisions to operate : Packaging & Specialty Plastics (packaging and specialty plastics), Industrial Intermediates & Infrastructure (industrial intermediates and infrastructure), and Performance Materials and Coatings (functional materials and coatings).

  1. Packaging & Specialty Plastics-provides ethylene, propylene and aromatic products; as well as polyethylene, polyolefin elastomers, ethylene vinyl acetate and ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber.
  2. Industrial Intermediates & Infrastructure——Provide ethylene oxide, propylene oxide, propylene glycol and polyether polyols, aromatic isocyanate and polyurethane systems, coatings, adhesives, sealants, elastomers and composites; the department also provides caustic Sodium, ethylene dichloride and vinyl chloride monomers; and cellulose ethers, redispersible latex powders, silicone and acrylic emulsions.
  3. Performance Materials and Coatings-provides architectural coatings and coatings, as well as industrial coatings for the maintenance and protection industry, wood, metal packaging, traffic signs, thermal paper and leather; high-performance monomers and silicones; independent silicones; and Home and personal care solutions.
  4. In addition, Dow is also engaged in property and accident insurance and reinsurance business.
