HEXO Corp. (AMEX:HEXO, TSX:HEXO ) was founded in August 2013, formerly known as The Hydropothecary Corporation (formerly OTCMKTS:HYYDF, formerly TSXV:THCX), changed to its current name in August 2018, headquartered in Canada Gatineau, with 220 full-time employees, is an award-winning medical cannabis producer with a 143-acre farm.

Since its establishment in August 2013 by Sébastien St-Louis and Adam Miron, Hydropothecary has been focusing on scaling up to meet the growing cannabis demand of Canadians. Currently, Hydropothecary produces 3,600 kilograms of cannabis annually in a 50,000 square foot facility.

In October 2017, Hydropothecary broke ground on its new 250,000-square-foot state-of-the-art greenhouse, which will be put into operation in the summer of 2018. In December 2017, Hydropothecary Corporation announced plans to build another 1 million square feet of greenhouse facility, which is scheduled to be completed in December 2018. When these two expansions are completed, Hydropothecary will have nearly 1.3 million square feet of greenhouse, and the company will be able to produce 108,000 kilograms of cannabis per year.

Hydropothecary puts the health and safety of its customers first. The company’s cannabis is grown in advanced greenhouse facilities using natural biological control (no chemical pesticides) for sunlight exposure. Hydropothecary has passed a certified third-party laboratory to the company. All products undergo voluntary pesticide testing and provide customers with testing certificates at any time.

Hydropothecary is a producer and distributor of medical marijuana licensed under the “Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations” (ACMPR) of Health Canada.

In August 2018, Molson Coors Canada, a subsidiary of Molson Coors Brewing Company, and hemp grower HEXO announced an agreement to establish a joint venture company, focusing on the development and production of non-alcoholic and cannabis-containing beverages in Canada.
