Veru Inc. operates through two departments : Commercial (commercial), Research and Development (R&D).

Veru provides FC2 female condoms to prevent unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, including HIV/AIDS and Zika virus; and PREBOOST benzocaine medicated wipes to prevent premature ejaculation.

Veru’s urology candidates include Tamsulosin sustained-release and Tamsulosin XR capsules. These capsules are undergoing bioequivalence studies for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia; Solifenacin sustained-release Granules are undergoing bioequivalence studies for the treatment of overactive bladder.

Veru’s urology drug candidates also include tadalafil (Tadalafil) and finasteride (Finasteride) combination capsules, which are undergoing bioequivalence studies for the treatment of male lower urinary tract symptoms and prostate hypertrophy.

Veru’s tumor drug candidates include: VERU-944, a hormone therapy for the treatment of male prostate cancer, is undergoing phase II clinical trials; VERU-111, an oral alpha and beta tubulin inhibitor, is undergoing Ib/II Phase research for the treatment of metastatic prostate cancer, breast cancer, endometrial cancer, ovarian cancer and pancreatic cancer.

Veru Inc. mainly provides services to agents, healthcare distributors, NGOs, Ministry of Health and other government agencies through distributors and retailers in the United States, Brazil, Spain, France and the United Kingdom.

On April 6, 2016, The Female Health Company acquired Aspen Park Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (APP) and established Veru Healthcare. After the merger, the new The Female Health Company becomes a medical treatment company-Veru Healthcare, which develops, manufactures and sells consumer healthcare products.
