It provides brand-name men’s, women’s, children’s clothing and other apparel products, as well as cosmetics and household products. The sales offices are mainly in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, and Ma States, Virginia, New Jersey and other places.

In November 2005, Bandon Department Store purchased 142 stores of Saks’ Northern Department Store Group for US$1.1 billion, doubling the size of the company.

Then, Bon-Ton Stores acquired Elder-Beerman, Carson Pirie Scott, Bergner’s, Boston Store, Herbger’s and Younkers.

In September 2006, Bandon Department Store acquired 4 former Parisian stores from Belk, Inc. (OTCQB: BLKIA, BLKIB).

As of October 21, 2015, Bonton Department Store operated a total of 270 stores in 26 states across the United States, including 9 furniture stores and 4 authorized stores. The store names (brands) are Bon-Ton, Bergner’s, Boston Store, Carson’s , Elder-Beerman, Herbger’s and Younkers.
