Kering Group was founded in 1962 by François Pinault. At that time, the company was engaged in the timber trade and the object was a construction company. In 1991, he began to get involved in retail and acquired many retail groups. Kering began to invest heavily in famous brands in 1999. The first shareholder was Gucci, which acquired 42% of the shares. Later, Yves Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, etc., invested in shares.
