USA Truck, Inc. (USAK):

American Truck Company was established on September 29, 1986. It is a trucking company that provides general merchandise transportation throughout the continental United States and transportation to and from Mexico and parts of Canada.

USA Truck Company operates through two parts: Freight (Trucking) and Logistics (USAT Logistics).

1. Trucking department -consisting of trucks (Truckload) and dedicated freight services (Dedicated Freight Services), providing truck services as a medium and long-distance public carrier; and specialized freight services. Truckload provides services as a long-distance public carrier. Dedicated freight provides complete vehicle services for specific customers to meet the needs of cargo transportation on specific routes. This department uses the company’s own or third-party contractors to operate vehicles.

2. USAT Logistics department -In April 2016, USA Truck changed its asset-light logistics business Strategic Capacity Solution (SCS) to USAT Logistics. This department is composed of Freight Brokerage and Rail Intermodal Services. Both of these service products match customer goods with the available equipment of authorized carriers and provide services that are compatible with the company’s freight business. The company mainly provides these services to existing freight customers, many of whom prefer to rely on a single operator or a small group of operators to provide all of their transportation solutions. USAT Logistics has approximately six regional offices located throughout the continental United States.

USA Truck transports dry cargo from the place of origin without stopping or handling. The company provides a series of complete vehicles and logistics services for customers across multiple industries. U.S. trucks also provide full towing services at the Laredo, Texas terminal to transport general merchandise in and out of Mexico.

As of December 31, 2017, the American Truck Company’s fleet had 1,669 tractors (tractors, truck heads) and 5,596 trailers, of which 247 tractors were operated by third-party independent contractors.
